In past years, my home was the home of Mrs. Moley.
It will always be the Moley home. Mrs Moley gardened
¾ of the yard, made cheese and wine in the basement,
and helped support her family with her fabulous vegetables
and the best pears (they still are the best) in town.
As best as I can discover, my home was built in the 20s,
and my block was home to Highwood’s early Swedish immigrants.
