
My tomatoes are in the ground. It was cold today (high in the 50's, but it's not supposed to
freeze tonight, so they should be okay. It's much easier to put the cages around the baby plants
when you plant them because if you don't the plants get too big to cage without hurting them.
There is probably some sort of life lesson in there about planning for the future.
Whatever the life lesson, or the parallels with Highwood's founding in the late 19th Century, seeing those tiny plants dwarfed by the enormous cages makes me grin a little...
