Terrific Tomato Contest

From the Victory Gardens during World War II to the Landscapers' pride over the last thiry years, Highwood is home to some of the best, most productive gardens on the North Shore. This year the Highwood Historical Society is sponsoring the first ever Terrific Tomato Contest to see who grows the best Tomatoes in the City.

This summer we are examining the history of Highwood, the people and the region through a diary of attempts to grow the perfect tomato.
